Ensemble Monterey Chamber Orchestra Concludes a Memorable Thirty-Second Season

Prourdly presenting a season - title on a bed of pastel colored clouds

As our 2024–25 season, ‘A Season of Dreams,’ comes to a close, we are filled with gratitude and joy. It has been an extraordinary year of music-making, with inspiring performances and shared moments that reminded us of the power of live music.

From the delicate poetry of ‘A Dream of Flight’ to the forward-looking vision of ‘A Dream of Tomorrow,’ each concert invited audiences into a rich and imaginative sound world. A highlight of our final concert was Maestra Cheryl Anderson’s last local performance with us before taking Jocelyn Hagen’s ‘The Notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci’ to Carnegie Hall in April.

We are deeply thankful to our dedicated musicians, guest artists, and—most of all—to you, our audience, for being part of this unforgettable season.

This season was lovingly dedicated to Ruth Hartmann in recognition of her generous and enthusiastic support over many years. It also held special significance as we celebrated the artistic legacy of John Anderson, whose remarkable 32-year tenure as Artistic Director has shaped Ensemble Monterey with creativity, excellence, and heart.

We are already dreaming of what’s next—details about our 2025–26 season will be shared soon, and we can’t wait to welcome you back.

A Heartfelt Thank You to our supporters

Ensemble Monterey extends its deepest gratitude to all our incredible supporters who generously contributed to our success throughout 2025. Your donations have played a vital role in empowering us to create beautiful music and bring captivating performances to life. Music Always Matters!

Although we are now a “well established” chamber orchestra, our continuing passion is to discover the new: to present compositions that widen, and sometime challenge both ourselves and you, our audience. We continue our dedication to the thrill of discovery.
